Infant Nutrition for sick and malnourished children

Infant Nutrition for sick and malnourished children

Mum and I recognises that there are mothers who are unable to breastfeed their infants for
various reasons. There are children with nutritional problems who are suffering from
malnutrition as a result of disease, rendering them severely underweight which condition if
left untreated could have immediate and long-term effects on their health, growth and
development.
Here in UK, there are families with children who need to have access to highly nutritional
milk based supplements, who cannot afford to buy them as the NHS does not offer most of
the aforementioned on prescription.
The families and children who suffer most from this problem of inability to afford much
needed nutritional supplements for a sick child very often, though not exclusively, are
refugees, undocumented migrants and even families waiting for regularisation by the UK
authorities and families on very low incomes.
Mum and I helps these families on a case by case basis by supplying the nutritional
supplements free of charge. Both in the UK and in disadvantaged areas of identified need in
Sub Saharan Africa.
Please consider supporting this work. Your donations would make a big difference to a sick
child and their families. Thank you.
